Milieu SAM Group
The Milieu Self-Advocacy Group is an inclusive environment where adults can come together with the support of Milieu staff to share ideas, meet new peers, build independence, and learn to advocate for themselves and others.
Adults involved in a self-advocacy group may take part in various activities, including workshops, discussions, and exercises aimed at improving communication, problem-solving, and people skills.
Group members are urged to speak out about their needs, preferences, and rights, and to help one another with any problems they may face.
The Milieu SAM Group is supported and guided by staff members.
Meeting Time: Hosted twice a month on Thursdays, bi-weekly
